Pocket Gamer: Game of the Week "Youll rue the day you missed this one."

Kotaku "Theres something comforting about the cold and dreary future of Wadjet Eye Games Gemini Rue, the pixelated PC masterpiece now available on iOS."

Joystiq "Being able to play such a well-crafted interactive story on the go was an attractive option for me from the beginning, and Gemini Rue proves to be a great example of how the adventure genre can be adapted to a mobile platform. "

MacLife "If you like unspooling a good sci-fi detective story, Gemini Rue is well worth the investment. 4/5"

Edge Online "Gemini Rue is an accomplished homage that rivals the very titles that influenced it. 8/10"

Washington Times "It’s an old school masterpiece, requiring hours of game play that stimulates the brain rather than trigger finger."

App Spy "This is an excellent port of an excellent adventure. 4/5"

DESCRIPTION

A sci-fi noir adventure in the tradition of "Blade Runner" and "Beneath a Steel Sky."

Azriel Odin, ex-assassin, arrives on the rain-drenched planet of Barracus. When things go horribly wrong, he can only seek help from the very criminals he used to work for.

Meanwhile, across the galaxy, a man called Delta-Six wakes up in a hospital with no memory. Without knowing where to turn or who to trust, he vows to escape before he loses his identity completely.

As fate brings these two closer together, we discover a world where life is cheap, identities are bought and sold, and a quest for redemption can change the fate of a whole galaxy.

Pros and cons of Gemini Rue app for iPhone and iPad

Gemini Rue app good for

I guess I never played PC games, but am now discovering them on the IPAD. A thoroughly enjoyable game, with a rich storyline and believable characters. Puzzles were fun and just enough, but not too much, fighting. Highly recommended!
What a treat! The best adventure game Ive played in years, richly detailed, dark, engrossing atmosphere, memorable characters, a plot worthy of great classic film noir, with a clever twist near the end. I finished the game a week ago, and the story is still haunting my thoughts.
Just like other games from this developer, this one has a great story and deep plot keeps you interested all the way to the end
This game is a work of literary brilliance. It digs deep into the what, when, and how it is to be human. As brilliant as Blade Runner, but playable. What online gaming fiction should be. A must play? A must play... And read.
If you are a fan of the point-and-click adventures from the 90s and early 00s, this game is for you. A real Full Throttle experience. You wont regret the purchase!
I really had no idea what to expect, I bought the game based on it supposedly being a good sci-fi adventure. Well, thank you for the recommendation, it was just that! What an unexpected surprise, something that actually fit the reviews and suggestions! Clearly, I personally loved the game, but if youre not sure whether or not to get it, heres a brief description... It starts off with no explanation of anything, which is great because thats the whole point of the game, figuring out the story as it goes along. It was like playing a movie that you are watching at the same time. But just so you know, its a pixelated game, I guess it was an older game converted to iOS. But I personally like this look... just realistic enough without looking weird. And the motions usually take more than one action to do tasks, which can occasionally get tedious when youre just opening doors, but thats really not an issue when that is how you problem-solve situations and literally figure the game out. Overall, really cool game with a great story. And a nice touch hearing Giancarlo Esposito do one of the voice-overs!

Some bad moments

Sorry, but a new game for ios that is not even adapted for iphone5 screen is just not the right way to go... Especially at this price. I will update my review when you update your game...
Graphics were so poor. waste of money. I want my money back. all my other apps work fine on my Ipad.
8 bit Graphics are just bad pixels. Worse than ping pong from 80s. I cant even look at it to figure it out. What a rip
This game is full of glitches. I am tired of going back and restarting or continuously tapping and trying to get the inventory menu up . This has been frustrating and disappointing. I want my money back.
Excelent storyline! The graphics are terrible. I know it is suposed to be this way. But the impression I got is that the iphone conversion was not done right, because the graphics were not only pixelated, but blured too. The mac/pc version looks much, much better. Anyway, you can get used to it. It is worth it playing it!
Worst game Ive ever bought. I couldnt bring myself to tolerate it for more than 30 seconds. Any review more than 1 star must have been generates by the developer. It should get 0 stars and be banned from App Store.
